QOTD - Great Stories


Research shows that messages delivered as stories can be up to 22 times more memorable than just facts. Stories engage our emotions. When we become immersed in a story we are transported to another place in our imagination. We view the hero more favorably and embrace the beliefs and worldviews the story presents. Most importantly, we are more likely to remember and share a good story in a style very consistent to the way we heard it. This is because our brains actually process stories differently. When we’re taking in straight information, we’re analyzing the message and comparing it to our own views and priorities. Memorable stories bypass those barriers.
